It's been a while...

So it has been quite a while since I have updated our blog! I will try to get back in the swing of things and update more often! I will just give some updates on our little life...

First of all, I only have 7 weeks left before our newest addition arrives!! As of right now, we have decided to name the baby Landry...whether it be a boy or girl. We are still undecided on a middle name for either. I am soooo ready to have this baby, but I am sooo not prepared for this baby! Maybe I will get things together before the baby gets here...we shall see!

Another change in our life lately has to do with Berkley's daycare. We decided to change her to First United Methodist daycare. Hopefully she will enjoy it there. Today was her first day, so we shall see about this as well!

Since there is no way for me to go back and post individually about all the events in our life in the past few months, I will just post some new pictures! Enjoy :)

Halloween

Berkley was the cutest little pig for Halloween this year. We didn't actually go trick or treating because it was so chilly and Berkley can't eat candy yet, so we just visiting Nene and PawPaw. She did get $5.00 from them and a bag of Goldfish!!

The Pumpkin Patch

We finally got to go to the Pumpkin Patch this past Sunday!! I didn't think we would ever get to because of all the rain we have gotten lately! It turned out to be a warm, sunny day! We met our friends, Heather, Stephen and Kierston Quinn, there and the girls had so much fun! We started out just looking at all the different kinds of pumpkins that were all over the ground. Berkley wanted to sit on all of them (for some reason, she loves to sit on all sorts of things).

After looking at the pumpkins for a while, we decided to go over to the little tractors and let the girls play on those for a minute...which is exactly how long they wanted to play on them!

After that, we went over to these big boxes (similar to sand boxes) filled with corn. They had toys in there for the kids to play in! I think they would have stayed in there all day! Berkley of course tried to eat the corn (which she may have actually swallowed a couple pieces)! It was alot of fun for them.

After the corn boxes, we went to the cotton bin and Berkley and Kierston along with Chad and Stephen got in and played for a minute. I don't think Berkley really liked the cotton! We got some cute pictures, though!

We then decided to go on the hayride that took us around the farm. It was nice to be able to sit and and relax for a little bit and Berkley was actually still herself!

After all the playing, we picked out a few pumpkins to take home and called it a day! We will definitely have to make this an annual trip!

Trip to the Fair

Last Saturday we met our friends, Heather and Stephen Quinn and their little girl, Kierston, at the Fair in Starkville. They had pony rides, a petting zoo and a few rides that were appropriate for Berkley and Kierston. Berkley had a great time...especially on the BIG slide! Once again, not sure if she is related to me. She kept wanting to slide again...she didn't understand that it took 3 tickets to slide one time (3 tickets=$3.00!!) Anyway, she ended up sliding 5 times. The last time, Chad actually let her slide in her own lane beside him! She had a blast!

Hanging out with Gran, PawPaw and Greer

Berkley loves to go to Gran and PawPaw's house and play. Usually we visit their church on Sunday's and then spend the afternoon lounging at their house. Now, as soon as we pull in the driveway Berkley starts pointing at Greer's 4-wheeler. She knows that someone will ride her around on it! She is starting to get a little spoiled by the grandparents! I guess that is what they are for!! Here are some pictures from a couple weekends ago.

I seriously am questioning whether or not I am actually related to Berkley. She is constantly wanting to do the most dangerous things (dangerous for a one year old). If there is anything around to climb on, that is exactly what she wants to do. We are constantly running around trying to catch her from falling (and by we, I mean "I" am always trying to catch her from falling!) Chad says, "she's fine..let her play". Berkley's Nene and PawPaw bought her a little pink princess 4-wheeler for her birthday and rather than sitting on it and riding it slowly like I would like, she prefers to climb on it and stand up without holding on! When that bores her, she proceeds to push it up to the coffee table and use it as a step stool to get on top of the table! She is a mess!

Our friends David and Rendy Gunnels came over a couple weekends ago and watched the Alabama game with us (even though Chad is an avid MSU fan). Berkley and Ella had a great time cheering for the TIDE!!! Roll Tide!

I can't believe it! Berkley turned one year old this past weekend! This past year has flown by. She is growing up so fast and learning things too quickly! We had a Monkey themed party for her (she is called a Spunky Monkey at daycare). We had some friends and family over for hotdogs and let the kids play in the pool and sprinklers. The weather was perfect and it went really well!

Berkley went to Vernon this past weekend to celebrate Ella Gunnels' 2nd Birthday! She had alot of fun playing with all the other kids and she finally got the chance to "jump" in the inflatables! She really wanted to open all the gifts herself! She will get the chance to open her own this weekend...her 1st Birthday is tomorrow!!! Time sure has flown by this first year. It seems like just yesterday that I was holding her in my arms for the first time! I've posted some pictures from this past weekend's activities!!

Berkley spent the night with Gran, PawPaw and Greer last Saturday night and we went to pick her up on Sunday. It was PawPaw's birthday, so we were doing some more celebrating! Berkley has so much fun playing with Greer and going riding on the golf cart with PawPaw to see the animals at the barn!

MawMaw Merlene's 84th Birthday Party

Not many people are lucky enough to be able to spend nearly 31 years with their grandmother like I have. She is turing 84 tomorrow and we (thanks to my other grandmother) threw her a surprise birthday party last night. She was very happy to have all the family there to celebrate with her. She is suffering from Alzheimers and it has been difficult for me to see her so confused lately, but I was so glad that everything went so well for her party. She was able to hold Berkley and Keely together at the same time. I was so glad I could get a picture of that because there may not be many more opportunities for her to do that! Happy Birthday!!

Berkley attended her friend, Jack Rye's, birthday party this past Saturday. She had a great time! Jack had a "Frog" themed party and it was so cute! Berkley didn't get to jump in the big jumper because she's not quite big enough, but she loved playing in the baby pool!!

I really only have one thing to say about this topic. If anyone ever asks you to go to a Hank Williams Jr. concert with them....JUST SAY NO! There is no need to elaborate on the terrible time I had this past weekend at the above mentioned concert. I had much more fun eating dinner before the concert. My night out should have ended there. Ok, so I will elaborate to an extent. No matter how much you mind your own business and sit quietly TRYING to enjoy a very loud concert, you obviously cannot avoid the wrath of the drunks sitting behind you. Enough said.

I have to say that before I became a mother, I did not realize how fast children can get into things! I had always seen these ridiculous videos on the funniest videos shows of kids doing crazy things and their parent's not knowing they were doing it! What Berkley did is far less extreme than those videos I've seen, but still very funny! This is why Mommy and Daddy shouldn't have a conversation in the kitchen when Berkley is playing alone in the living room!!

1st Birthday Parties are so fun!!

Having a child in the family means so many activities to take part in. Even though Berkley is only 10 months old, she really loves birthday parties. We were able to go to my friend, Mandie's, little boy's birthday party back in April as well as my friend Heather's little girl's birthday party this past weekend. Berkley loved all the balloons and fun things to do!

Parker's birthday party was safari animals theme. They had everything decorated so cute!! Parker was so cute when he was being so mannerly eating his birthday cake! I don't think he even needed his bib!! Of course Berkley was all about helping Parker open his presents, and she wasted no time trying them out! She is such a nosy little girl!

Kierston's birthday party was so much fun! Berkley really enjoyed playing in the water with Kierston! Kierston's party was a first birthday theme with water toys to play in! Berkley showed off her curves in her bikini!!

Berkley is going to be a pro at birthday parties by the time it's her first birthday. We have a few more birthday parties in the next month to go to before we can celebrate her's! It is going to be so exciting!! The best part of parties is being able to spend time with family and friends that are important to us. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and the most awesome family in the world!! We can't wait to spend many more birthdays with them! Stay tuned!!

ok, so i'm new to this whole blog thing, but i want to begin with a little introduction to our family.

We are the Williamson's, Chad, Brooke and Berkley. Chad and I met 5 years ago on a semi-blind date (we had seen pictures of each other) and since have been inseparable. We were married December 2, 2006 and welcomed our first baby on August 21, 2008. We named her Berkley Claire Williamson. Since that day, our lives have been changed forever! We are so lucky to have such a wonderful life! Hope you enjoy our little family!
